Quinton and Steph were looking for a destination wedding and were inspired by the beautiful and natural surroundings of the Bellarine Peninsula. They were after an intimate and rustic wedding and could not pass on ‘the views of the olive grove and the sensational food’ that Merne could offer.
How would you describe yourselves and what inspired your style of wedding?
We are a laid-back couple that love regional victoria. We were inspired by the idea of a rustic and intimate wedding on the Bellarine.
What were you looking for in a wedding venue?
We were looking for a cosy and intimate exterior with beautiful natural vistas. A creative and unique approach to dining was also very important.
What made you choose Merne?
The venue offered everything on one beautiful property. We were won over by Celeb and Jess, who offered ongoing support. We could not pass on those views of the olive grove and the food was just sensational.
How would you describe the process of planning your wedding at Merne?
Easy and open communication was offered from the very beginning. Jess helped guide us when we were overwhelmed and offered flexibility wherever possible. Being able to taste food and wine options at Merne was a real highlight for us. We felt really involved in the vision of our wedding, without having to do much at all!
Was there a highlight from your wedding day you would like to share?
Dancing on the dancefloor with our friends and family.
Any final words you would like to share about your experience planning a wedding at Merne?
We feel very lucky we chose Merne to host our wedding. Merne will always have a special place in our heart. We love coming back and enjoying a meal while looking out over the olive grove.
